Glued

Sad for no good reason, I listen to music that fuels my mood

Because I feel like feeling lonely

And reflecting upon everything and nothing at all.

Do you ever hear a song that goose bumps your flesh? That speaks to your soul?

A song that tears you down and builds you up

Both at fucking once? Or convinces you that you’re so deep?

One that breaks your heart, reminds of you of the one person

Who you love and hate so goddamned much in equal measure–

Living or dead, they have a way of

Touching you in just the right place.

Do you ever hear a song that makes you long for a place

You have or have never been?

Are any of you a being like me?

One so broken and put together–

One who relishes loneliness

Because loneliness grounds you to the earth.

Because loneliness is the one constant in this life

No matter how  much love may fill your days…

I’m a piece of porcelain held together by glue.

  1. I thoroughly enjoyed the use of links here depicting your mood/message. I added links originally when starting out here, but to my own stuff! I don’t do that anymore. Loved this and the other artists involved.

  2. It’s strangely reassuring you can always step into unhappiness/loneliness and know everything is where you left it. Hope you find the light under the door soon though.
